Kirby Avalir 2 Outer Bag

The Kirby Avalir 2 Outer Bag is a fabric outer bag specifically designed for the Kirby Avalir 2, manufactured from 2018 onwards. This outer bag protects the internal Kirby Micron or Micron Plus vacuum cleaner bag and is an essential part of the dust collection system. Furthermore, this replacement outer bag features the same colour scheme as the original Avalir 2 outer bag.

Replacing the Kirby Avalir 2 Outer Bag

If your current outer bag is damaged, worn or discoloured, this replacement fabric outer bag offers a practical solution. As a result, you can replace the outer bag without having to purchase a complete outer bag assembly.

This version consists of the fabric outer bag only. Therefore, the plastic components from your existing outer bag must be reused.

When replacing the outer bag, you will need to transfer the following components:

• The plastic Mini-Emptor at the bottom.
• The internal fill tube with vacuum bag connector.
• The upper hanging hook and associated mounting components.

This allows you to retain the existing connections and replace only the fabric part of your Kirby outer bag.

Difference Between a Fabric Outer Bag and a Complete Assembly

In addition to the fabric outer bag, a complete outer bag assembly is also available. This version includes the fabric bag, Mini-Emptor, internal fill tube and upper hanging hook.

However, the fabric-only version is ideal when your existing plastic components are still in good working condition. Moreover, it prevents unnecessary replacement of perfectly functional parts.

Kirby Avalir 2 Outer Bag Compatibility

Although the Kirby outer bag features the distinctive colour scheme of the Avalir 2, its connection system is universally compatible. Therefore, this fabric outer bag is suitable for Kirby vacuum cleaners from the Generation 3 through to the Avalir Platinum.

The outer bag can also be fitted to older Kirby models, provided that the appropriate existing connection components are transferred.

Difference Between This Replacement Bag and the Original Avalir 2 Outer Bag

Please note: this replacement outer bag differs from the outer bag supplied as standard with a new or workshop-refurbished Kirby Avalir 2.

The standard version features a built-in sound suppressor (muffler), which provides additional reduction of motor noise. Furthermore, the original outer bag is made from thicker and more rigid material.

In contrast, this replacement outer bag is thinner and more flexible and does not feature the same built-in sound suppressor. However, the filtration system and filtration standard remain the same, as the internal Kirby vacuum cleaner bag is responsible for the actual dust filtration.

Flexible Outer Bag for Convenient Use

Thanks to its more flexible material, this outer bag is easier to move and position. This is particularly beneficial when using your Kirby in its portable configuration.

When attaching the outer bag to the handle, the more flexible fabric bends more easily. As a result, the outer bag is less rigid and more convenient to handle during use.
